Why should I create an account at kpixie?
Lots of reasons! Number one, you'll get a coupon code by email for 10% OFF your first order AND we frequently send out discount coupons and special sale information to our customers. You also get access to free patterns. If you join the newsletter, you will receive one email a month about new products and sale items. We will continue to grow, bringing yarns that inspire and patterns that are fresh and trendy. Joining the newsletter also makes sure you know about new yarns that are offered in limited quantities, so you can get them before they're gone.
Can I save items in my shopping cart?
YES! Create an account and everything that you add to your cart will be saved. Fill the cart and checkout now OR return later and all your items will still be there.
Also, when you come back to shop and add items to the cart before logging in, the cart will merge those items with your saved items. You can also delete items and modify quantities at any time.
Can I change my password?
Yes! After you login to your account, click the account button at the top of the page. You can change your password under the "My Account" section.

What if the item I want is not in stock?
If there is something you want to order that is not in stock, we will order it from the manufacturer and you'll receive it shortly. If you want your in-stock items shipped before the backordered items are in, please let us know.
We will ALWAYS match dyelots.
When adding items to your cart, there will be a message to tell you if there is enough stock available for the quantity you want to order. If you do not see that message, everything you want to order is in stock!
Generally we will get the backordered items in 3-5 days and ship it to you right away. The only companies that have a longer wait time are:
Hemp for Knitting - 2 weeks
Habu Textiles - 12 or more weeks
How about colors that you don't stock, can I order them?
YES! If there is a yarn color available that you do not see in the store, email us and we'll order it for you!
How do I get to the free patterns section?

Why can't you just email me the patterns I want?
Just like your local yarn store, we have to purchase copies of patterns. We do not purchase electronic versions and print them here. Almost all of the patterns we offer are hard copies from the manufacturer or designer.
Do your photos show the true color of the yarn?
We use true color lamps to photograph the yarn for our website. Each computer screen has different settings, so the color you see may be a little bit different than the actual color. But because we start out with high quality images, the chance of the color being very different is slim. And remember, if you are unhappy with your yarn purchase we have a great return policy!
Where is kpixie located?
We are located in Massachusetts USA.
When are you open?
Because we are an online yarn shop, you can shop 24/7! Emails are usually answered between 7am and 10pm.
I live in Canada, can I order yarn from kpixie?
YES! We welcome all knitters and crocheters who live in Canada. All prices at kpixie are shown in US Dollars, your credit card company will convert the funds appropriately. See our Shipping Policies page for more information.
Will you ship to an APO or FPO military address?
YES! When creating an account, be sure to use your billing address. Once you add items to the cart you can specify your military address to ship the products to. Insert your Unit and Box in the address field for shipping. See our Shipping Policies page for more information. If you are having trouble placing an order for an APO address, PLEASE email us so that we can work out a resolution
What about international orders?
We do ship outside the USA! We service a total of 42 countries. All prices at our online store are shown in US Dollars, our credit card processor and your bank will convert the funds appropriately.

If you have a blog, sure! Go ahead and link directly to the image and create a link back to kpixie.com
If you want to use the image for a regular website (not a blog) please ask permission first. Almost ALL photos are taken here at kpixie, and they are under copyright protection. We work hard for our great photos, please do not use them unless it is for a blog post.
Did you change your store name from knitpixie to kpixie?
Yes, but we are still exactly the same woman owned and operated company. It's business as usual with a shorter store name. Your credit card will be billed as Knit Pixie Inc. until further notice.
